Description

Wind Street in Swansea city centre has long been a vibrant area serving the night-time economy. Now, thanks to a £2m upgrade, the area has been transformed to make it a go-to area throughout the day as well, offering family fun, dining and places to meet for coffee. As part of the regeneration works, lighting solutions specialists LITE were appointed to deliver an LED lighting scheme. A key part of this was give Wind Street a brand-new look. The existing trees that line the street have been pollarded, which allows for them to be illuminated for both practical and decorative purposes. LITE specified 1,760 large globes from MaxiLED, which not only illuminate the street beautifully in the darker hours, they are visible during the day creating an inviting and uplifting vibe during the day
